I recently came across an document I created early during my time at Technology & Innovation in Education (TIE) called “Embracing Change: An introduction to personal change management for the K-12 educator.” While this resource is no longer used in any official TIE courses, I believe the ideas and strategies it contains are still valuable for educators navigating the ever-changing landscape of K-12 education.
The document explores the nature of change, strategies for responding to it positively, and the internal process of transition that accompanies external changes. It offers practical advice for educators facing various types of changes in their professional lives, from adopting new technologies to shifting pedagogical approaches.
I’m sharing this resource on my blog because I think many educators could benefit from its insights.
